David Hill is Professor of German Studies at the University of Birmingham and Director of the Centre for European Languages and Cultures.  He has published widely on German Literature of the eighteenth century and has recently edited Literature of the Sturm und Drang (Rochester, 2003). [Website]

Dr Elystan Griffiths, MA (Cantab), Ph.D (Birmingham)
Elystan Griffiths is a Lecturer in the Department of German Studies at the University of Birmingham, and works full-time on the Lenz edition project.  His research interests lie in the area of German literature and history of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.  His book Political Change and Human Emancipation in the Works of Heinrich von Kleist was published by Camden House in 2005.
